LOCATION

Established in 1939, Federal Millwork Corporation is one of South Florida's oldest businesses serving the Architectural Millwork and Cabinetry needs of the local south Florida community. Today, Federal Millwork serves the world marketplace from a 65,000 square foot campus strategically adjoining the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and seaport, Port Everglades, with immediate access to Interstates 595 and 95.

QUALITY

Old World Quality is the norm at Federal Millwork. Our craftsmen take personal pride in each product manufactured. The attention to quality is evident on both large and small projects. A tour of our Showroom reveals the numerous awards received by our journeymen builders from industry peers for outstanding achievement, workmanship, and quality. The building of this team has been an ongoing process, now more than seventy (70) years in the making.

Federal Millwork has passed rigorous testing as members of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI), the authoritative voice for the industry in North America and beyond. The AWI has conducted on-site inspections to evaluate our manufacturing techniques and craftsmanship . . . as well as reviewed letters of accomodation and recommendations from architects, designers, general contractors and owners.

As a member of the Board of Directors for ten (10) years, our President, Richard A. Ungerbuehler, Sr., served as National President for AWI in 2007.

FACILITY

With 50,000 square feet under roof, a complete compliment of manufacturing equipment is in place, constantly monitored and upgraded, to insure that the finest technology is used to produce the best product possible, efficiently and economically. Our on-site machine shop enables us to control the quality and quantity of our tooling and is capably managed by David Justice who began his career at Federal Millwork in 1981.

REGULATION COMPLIANCE

Care has been taken to keep this technologically-updated facility in total compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements. This includes compliance with all air pollution and hazardous waste procedures. Our Safety Committee meets regularly to monitor in-place programs dealing with plant and jobsite safety, Drug Free Workplace, Material Data Safety Compliance, and environmental awareness. We aggressively pursue these areas of concern to insure the highest standards of quality for our clients and the best in safety for our employees.

Federal Millwork completed the inspection of our facilities with minimal correction requirements in 2009 to comply with the Florida statute which requires any/all commercial buildings to undergo a rigorous forty (40) year inspection.
